He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ransome; his aunt Shirley Thomas; his siblings, Joyce Hyman (Emanuel), Ricky Bell (Diane), Peggy Thomas Arnold (Stuggart), Bobby Bell (Flora), Diane Kelly and Sandra Howell-Grant; his children, Seddrina Ferebee (Rufus), Iasia Ransome, Jeelan Jones (Otis), Shaheed Ransome (Atorria), Surayya Ransome and Charles Holloway; and his grandchildren, Shadae Doyle, Ramel Doyle (Jaiden Lee'Andre), Jada Goodson, Brandon Braxton (Juan), Otis R. Jones, III, Nia Jones, Shaheed Ransome, Jr. (Harli Toney), Ariyah Perry, King Ransome, Sa'raee Ransome and Saliah Ransome. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
