It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Blana Mae Johnson of Chilhowie, Virginia, who passed away on May 11, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Shelton and Sarah Shelton; her husband Ralph Johnson; her daughter Patty Johnson (Melissa); her siblings, Charlotte Greer, Violet Carter of Wanda Stoker, J. C, Stanley Shelton and Willis Shelton; her children, Becky Johnson, Susie Castrodale (Neil) and David Johnson (Sara); and her grandchildren, Brett Castrodale (Palmer), Krista Staton (Tyler), Ashley Thomas (Brandon), Jessie, Adam Johnson (Alexandria) and Jared Johnson (Megan).
She is survived by: her siblings, Jeanne Freeman and Don Shelton (Joyce); her sister-in-law Peggy Johnson; her niece Tamara Rowland (Jason); and her nephew Chris Johnson (Lisa). She is also survived by extended family members and dear friends.
