With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eleanor Russell Leonard (Chilhowie, Virginia), who passed away on March 14, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Russell and Mary Russell; her husband Robert "Bob" Leonard; her children, Tim Dunn, Andy Dunn and Sue Dunn; her granddaughter Chrissy Dunn; her stepdaughter Bobbie Leonard; and her sister Janice Mohmey.

She is survived by: her daughters, Bonita Elmore and Joyce Osborne; her grandchildren, Mark Campbell, Shannon Campbell, Trista Sumter, Tosha Roberts, Billy Testerman, Tina Dunn, Randall Trivitt, Jason Trivitt, Michael Trivitt, Charles Hall and Shawn Hall; her stepchildren, Glenda Ellis (Ralph), Robert Leonard (Carol), Elizabeth Rouse (Larry), Edward Leonard (Brenda), Jeffrey Leonard, Christy Dent (Randy), Christopher Leonard and Joe Leonard; and her close friend Joann Barr. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren.
