He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Jackson McClure and Lucy Sturgill McClure; his former wife Betty Lee West McClure; his wife Barbara Jean McClure; and his siblings, Billy McClure, John Robert McClure, Kenneth McClure, Margaret Widener Fore, Shirley Rowland and Lynda Lundy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jill, Kim and Kerri; his grandchildren, Chassidy, Lauren (Ben) and Meghan; his great grandchildren, Audrey and Carter; and his stepchildren, Jesse (Debbie) and Lisa (David).
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chilhowie Baptist Church (625 E Lee Hwy, Chilhowie, VA 24319). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Macedonia Baptist Church (625 E Lee Hwy, Chilhowie, VA 24319).
