He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Powers and Rose Brewer Powers; his wife Judy Russell Powers; his great grandchild Charlie Powers; and his siblings, Lloyd Powers, Stella Powers, Darrell Powers and Sharen Billings.
He is survived by: his sons, Jayson Powers and Jody Powers (Erin); his grandchildren, Justin Powers (Lauryn), Jackson Powers (Kaitlin), Jamisen Powers and Maddie Powers; his siblings, Lee Powers (Donna), Karen Schyphers (Larry), Velma Doss (Doug) and Jan Blevins (Ted); his great grandchild Winnifrid Powers; and his close friend Blondie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, friends, and his special pet.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bradley's Funeral Chapel (307 Old Stage Rd, Chilhowie, VA 24319). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
