He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Roe; and his siblings, Marvin "Burr" Roe (Ethel), Ernest Roe (Margaret), Ruby Counts (Clyde), Edith Phillips (Richard) and Dot Roe (Edward).
He is survived by: his children, William Edward Roe Jr., Chris Roe (Kayla) and Eric Roe (Jamie); his grandchildren, Micheal Roe (Kelly), Marcus, Zackary, Courtney, Mason, Maxton and Milly; his great grandchildren, Lukas, Braedyn, Kiyrin, Jack and Serenity; his grandchildren, Calie, Taylor and Colton; and his great grandchildren, Kelson and Rowan. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other beloved family members.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home (242 N Church Ave, Chilhowie, VA 24319). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Middle Fork Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made directly to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
