We bid farewell to Forrest MacDowell of Chincoteague Island, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 10, 2025 at the age of 79. Forrest touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Beebe MacDowell and Forrest Cleland MacDowell; his stepmother Etta Manning MacDowell; his stepbrother Ray Manning, Jr.; and his stepmother Joyce Carpenter MacDowell.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his siblings-in-law, Sherry West Ennis and Ishmael Ennis; his nephews, Troy Mason (Chantelle), Lester H. Bowman, III and Larry G. Marsh II; his great-nephew Camden Grayson Bowman; his great-niece Amelia Rose Marsh; his extended family Toni Tyndall Aldrich (late Tom); his daughters, Shay Robertson (Jason) and Kristi Ammons (Jeff) of Williamsburg; and his stepsisters, Vicky Manning Thornton (Joe) and Cathy Manning.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Union Baptist Church (6365 Church St, Chincoteague, VA 23336).
