It is with sadness that the passing of Wayne Jester of Chincoteague Island, Virginia is shared. Wayne, born on October 28, 1938 in Chincoteague, Virginia, passed away on May 20, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Wayne will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Wayne by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Wayne is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Wayne’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy "Lyle" Jester and Opal Jester; his brother Larry; and his former wife Bonnie Carol Farlow. He is survived by: his daughter Melissa; his wife Betsy V. Annis; his daughter Beverly; his brother Kenny; and his sister-in-law Barbara. He is also survived by family; and many other family members and lifelong friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the John Taylor Memorial Cemetery (31189 Temperanceville Rd, Temperanceville, VA 23442).
