She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Rowan and Lovella Lizzy Stilley Lanier; her husband Carl "Bud" Shepherd; and her sister Dorothy Hedgecock. She is survived by: her children, Dean Shepherd (Tracy) and Kerry Shepherd (Letrice); her grandchildren, Paige, Laiken, Lilly, Jessie, Amber, Justin (Brook), Issac (Hannah), Zac Dylan (Amber), Evan and Hayden; her brother James Lanier; her siblings-in-law, Debbie, Patsy, Kenneth (Edith), Gary (Brenda), Jerry (Wanda), Mike (Barbara), Gus (Von) and Roger (Stephanie); and her pets, Cooper and Leo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Shelia Strauss Hospice House.
