He is survived by: his wife Margie; and his children, Gary Sutphin (Janet), Sharon Tayloe (Alan), Rickey Sutphin and Debbie Reed (Joe). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Riner Volunteer Rescue Squad in memory of Cecil.
