With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ernestine Perdue Weeks (Christiansburg, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 21, 2024 at the age of 99. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Stern Perdue and Sadie Bocock Perdue; her former life partner James Young; her husband Raymond Weeks; her sisters, Anna Thomas, Treva Cox and Mary Lee Reed; and her granddaughter Valerie Hall.

She is survived by : her children, Betty Greene (William) and Allen Young (Regina); her grandchildren, Lesley Mitchell (Jeff), Abi Lester (Darrell), Clark Young (Vanessa) and Gail Duffy; her great grandchildren, Clayton Lester (Hunter), Hadley Lester, Miah Mitchell and Conor Duffy; and her nephews, Alan Thomas (Lisa) and Billy Thomas.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Horne Funeral Home & Cremation Service (1300 N Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA 24073). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
