He was predeceased by: his father Robert Chapman Dowdy; and his niece Sherill Ashley Dowdy. He is survived by: his wife Misty Rose Dowdy; his mother Irene Wood Dowdy; his brother Robert Michael Dowdy (Kathy); and his nephew Joshua. He is also survived by 3 stepchildren, and 3 great nephews.
