He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Lawson and Ada M. Epperly Lawson; his wife Wanda Marie Lawson; and his brothers, Danny and Saford.
He is survived by: his sister Polly Lawson; his children, Lisa Lawson (Mark Robertson), Tammy Jones (Mike), Micheal Lawson (Jeanette), Terry Lawson (Tammie), Gary Lawson and Ricky Lawson; his grandchildren, Derek, Hunter, Mikey, Seth, Justin, Andrew, Michael Lee and Brittany; and his pets, Charlie and Remy. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel (150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
