It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Mason Lytton (Christiansburg, Virginia), born in McDowell, Virginia, who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta Mills Lytton; his daughter Alicia Gaye; his great grandchild Evan Tucker Lytton; and his siblings, Bettie Cox, James Gordon Lytton and Alice Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Derek Lytton of Christiansburg, VA, Marvin of Christiansburg, VA, Joseph Lytton (Joe) of Christiansburg, VA, Karen Simpkins (Eugene) of Snowville, VA and Melinda Larkin (Joel) of Largo, Florida.; his grandchildren, Scott Lytton, Stephanie Lytton, Jeremiah Simpkins, Joseph "Caleb" Simpkins (Regan), Alicia Larkin, GySgt Craig Larkin (Lovelyrie), Ethan Simpkins (Sara) and Tyler J. Simpkins; and his great grandchildren, Austin Lytton, Noah Lytton, Elyssa Guthrie, Sawyer Guthrie, Catalina Larkin, Jayden Marshall, Raelynn Simpkins, Joseph Caleb Simpkins Jr. and Isabella Larkin.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Hope Church of God (1404 Mud Pike, Christiansburg, VA 24073). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens (2880 N Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA 24073).
