We are sad to announce that, on July 15, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Opal Nixon of Christiansburg, Virginia. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Opal Nixon to show support.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Testerman and Laura Testerman; and her sisters, Mae Graham, Levona Eldridge and Helen Lavender.

She is survived by: her husband George Grover Nixon, Jr.; her daughter Lisa Lafoon (Mal); her grandsons, Caleb Lafoon (Stephanie), Andrew Lafoon (Hannah) and Micah Lafoon (Melody McCusker); her sister Wilma Brumfield; her siblings-in-law, Henry and Doris Nixon; and her nieces, Coleen Shephard and Merle Nelson. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

I remember many days and evenings when Debbie-Tim-Alex and Lauren(your next door neighbors) and I all sat out in the yards or on the deck with Opal and Grover while the kids played ball.....many of them in your trees....swim in the pool or just play. The good ole days! Those memories will never be forgotten.......You are in my prayers.”
