He is survived by: his children, Samantha Linkous (Ellis) of Dublin, Ann Ratcliffe (David) of Riner, Samuel Lang Jr. of Christiansburg and Michael Lang of Christiansburg; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Ratcliffe, Jessica Ratcliffe, Samuel Barry Akers, Adam Linkous, Kenny Ratcliffe and Travis Ratcliffe; his sisters, Bertha Ratcliffe (Bill) of New Castle, VA and Sue Cumbee of Rich Creek, VA; and his close friends, Doug, Nancy Hardymon, Ronnie and Sandra Hardymon.
