She was predeceased by: her spouse Delmar Carlyle Jackson; her parents, Benjamin Franklin Cox and Maggie May Cox (Greaver); her brothers, Benjamin H., Raymond, Wallace G. and Joseph H. Cox; and her nephew Randy Cox.
She is survived by: her niece Tamme Cox Flory (Roger); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Benjamin Flory (Alexis Flavin) and Alayna Flory Sensabaugh (Hunter); her nieces and nephews, Joan Lafferty, Alice Ann Doyle, Anthony Cox and Wayne Cox; Ryker Sensabaugh and Virginia Flory.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bear Funeral Home (14 Green Hill Ln, Churchville, VA 24421). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Edith had requested that memorial donations be made to a charity of choice.
