He is survived by: his children, Sherry Craig (James) of Grottoes, Curtice Hinkle (Christine) of Swoope, Shannon Craton (Roger) of Gastonia, NC and John Elmore (Amy) of Swoope; and his siblings, Mary Lou Simmons of Chester, Patsy Bright of Rocky Mount, Paul "Buddy" Hinkle of Churchville and Richard Hinkle of Craigsville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
