He is survived by: his wife Gail Knott Horton of Claudville; his sons, Shannon Maynard Horton (Tracy) of Stuart and Clayton Orbra Horton (Camber) of Claudville; his grandchildren, Morgan Horton of Stuart, Emily Horton of Stuart, Tanner Horton of Claudville and Dillon Horton of Claudville; his great grandchild Carter Horton; and his siblings, Dale Horton (Marie), Noel Horton (Joan), Connie Hooker and Carolyn Hayden (Wayne).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Services (202 W Blue Ridge St, Stuart, VA 24171). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Chapel (202 W Blue Ridge St, Stuart, VA 24171). A burial was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at the Barnard Family Cemetery (2878 Kibler Valley Rd, Ararat, VA 24053).
