He is survived by: his sons, Blake Lankford and Jamie Lankford; his close friend Lee Elgin; the mother of his children Peggy Lankford; his sisters, Tina (Ricky Shinault) and Shvonda (Trinity Cockram); his nephews, Brycen Cockram (Madison), Dustin Cockram, Colby Shinault and Holden Shinault; his great-niece Avery Cockram; his aunts and uncles, Peggy (Carry Wagoner), Pam Errichetti, Margie Shough, Steven (Rita Spencer), Jimmy (Janie Lankford) and Ricky Lankford; and his father Jimmy Scott.
