He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mark Legge (Diane Kelly Legge) of Stephens City, VA and Mollie Ragens (Steven Ragens) of Clear Brook, VA.; his wife Alicia Finley-Legge; his children, Micheala Legge and Chance Legge; his grandmother Jean L.; and his siblings, Sally Cloonan, Natalie Barb, Ashley Zelaski, Nakoma Wilfong and Josh Cloonan. He was also cherished by his children, stepchildren, and all of his nieces and nephews.

Nate was preceded in death by a son, Thompson Sage Smith; maternal grandparents, William Hamilton "Popeye" Guthrie and Margaret B. "Minnie" Dearth; paternal grandfather, John W. "Poppy" Legge, Jr. Due to COVID-19, a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
