He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Vance and Donna "Donnie" Rasnake Vance; and his siblings, Lester L. Vance, Laura Smith, Lillian "Dean" Cassell, Farley Vance and Lakon "Scoby" Vance.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Worley Vance; his children, Donna Fields (Jerry), Teresa Mercer (Steve), Dennis Vance (Theresa), P. J. Vance (Sophie) and Dalton Gilbert (Jaimie); his stepdaughter Christi Carter; and his sister Linda Warren. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
