She was predeceased by : her father Howard Westley Wright; her husband Gary Leon Showalter; and her brothers, Howard E. "Bud" Wright, Ray M. Wright and Donald Wayne Wright.

She is survived by : her children, Erin Elizabeth Showalter-Nicely (Hiawatha "Casey" Nicely) of Bonsack and Paul Howard Showalter of Williamsburg; her siblings, Aileen W. Painter of Virginia Beach and Ronald W. Wright of Clifton Forge; and her grandson Wyatt Hudson Nicely. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
