She was predeceased by : her parents, Emory Nickol Vess and Louise Roscoe Marshall Vess; her husband Kenneth Roger Windsor; and her siblings, Alice Nichols, Betty McGlothlin, Garnett Vess and Eugene Vess.

She is survived by : her children, Vickie Puffenbarger (Richard) of Bath County, Donna Hornsberger (Clinton) of Newport News and Roger Windsor of Lexington; her sister Melba Forbes of Millboro; and her grandchildren, Melissa, Ricky, Brian, Roman, Timmy and Andrew (Jamie). She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
