It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cynthia Sawyer of Clifton Forge, Virginia, who passed away on May 25, 2026, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Cynthia is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Cynthia's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Sawyer, Sr. and Mary Kathryn Deering Sawyer; and her brother Thomas Sawyer, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Lucinda Sawyer (Michael Riddle); her grandchildren, Aeryn and Jacob; and her siblings, Elizabeth Sawyer of Clifton Forge and Kevin Sawyer of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and several more "adopted" sons and daughters.
