With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edgar Allen Hickman (Clifton Forge, Virginia), who passed away on July 26, 2023 at the age of 105. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claire Baker Hickman and Edward Allen Hickman; his wife Charlotte Gwilliams Hickman; his sisters, Louise Roadcap, Garnet Bryan, Ruth Hatcher and Doris Lewis; his son Lloyd Edward Hickman; and his grandson Christopher Allen Hickman.
He is survived by: his uncle Harry; his aunt Pearl Hickman; his son David (Gayle Hickman); his granddaughter Courtney (Tyler Leaman); his daughter Bonnie (Jim Yopp); his grandson Jason (Jessica Yopp); and his great grandchildren, Isaac and Reed Yopp.
In lieu of flowers, we ask you consider donations in Allen's name to his lifelong church where he sang in the choir and taught Sunday School until he was 100: First Christian Church, 319 Church Street, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
