He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ann Franson Higgins of Clifton Forge; his son Glen Higgins, Jr. (Patricia) of Eagle Rock; his siblings, Melanie Higgins, Ricki Higgins (Becky) of Clifton Forge, Pat Higgins of Clifton Forge and Mack Higgins (Liz) of Clifton Forge; his siblings-in-law, Christy Waid (Bernie), Karen Lodge, Donna Griffith (Jim), Tammy Slay (Randy) and John Franson (Tracy); his aunts, Wilma Spangler of Clifton Forge and Kakie Higgins of Clifton Forge; his cousin Earl Higgins, Jr.; and his pet Angel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nicely Funeral Home (405 Alleghany St, Clifton Forge, VA 24422). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home (405 Alleghany St, Clifton Forge, VA 24422).
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or to the Alleghany Humane Society, 9313 Rich Patch Rd, Covington, VA 24426.
