He was predeceased by: his wife Carrie Sue Murphy Thomas; and his son Wayne Thomas. He is survived by: his daughter Paula Thomas Shipley (David) of Greensburg, KY; his siblings-in-law, Frankie Gorman (Bill) of Lynchburg, VA and Mike Murphy of Richmond, VA; his grandchildren, Stephanie Woodhouse (John), Ryan Thomas and Margaret Thomas (Jared McCulloch); and his great grandchildren, Joshua Woodhouse and Lydia Woodhouse. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, New York, 10306.
