He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Wendell Sortore IV and Dorothy Jean Leilous Sortore. He is survived by: his wife Marion Sortore of Clifton Forge; his children, Samantha Hernandez-Sortore (Carlos) of Vienna and Scott Sortore (Stefanie) of Bradenton, FL; and his grandchildren, A. J. Hernandez-Sortore, Ana Hernandez-Sortore, Alex Sortore, Ashlyn Sortore, Jamison Sortore and Scarlett Sortore.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Central United Methodist Church (544 Church St, Clifton Forge, VA 24422). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
