He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Wayland Mansfield and Esther Stevens Mansfield; his sister Louise Mansfield; his sons, Jerry Wayland, III and John Christopher; his former wives, Lucille Crocker Mansfield and Helen Sledge Mansfield; and his stepson Bradley C. White.

He is survived by: his daughter Medina Louise; his wife June Elizabeth White Mansfield; his siblings, W. Ed Mansfield (Shirley) and Apostle Medina Marble; his stepdaughters, LaTasha T. Wallace (Reginald), Tara T. Roland (Tony) and Dana T. Davenport (Wayne); his stepgranddaughter Michelle; his stepchildren, Larry G. White (Stephanie), Melaniee W. Reed, Karen W. Pierce and Vicki W. Pleasant (Thomas); and also, Agnes S. Berry, Audrey J. Guy and Roland Sterns.
