He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Chapman Dawson and Mary Belle Givens Dawson; his son Mike Dawson; and his siblings, Dorothy Clark, Emma Wright, Billy Dawson and Bobby Dawson.
He is survived by: his children, Sarah Dawson, Katie Dawson and Scotty Dawson; and his siblings, Linda Wright and Dean Dawson (Theresa). He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
