He was predeceased by : his mother Patricia Ann Simpson McClung; and his brother Brian "Snail" McClung. He is survived by : his father Wesley Lomax McClung of Eagle Rock; and his sisters, Kim Shifflett (Jerry) of Elkton and Jeanne Persinger (Larry) of Rockwell, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Botetourt County Fire and EMS, 10 W. Back St., Fincastle, VA 24090, or to Intrepid Hospice, 427 Lee Jackson Highway, Staunton, VA 24401.
