He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Elijah and Annie Pauline Furry Mason; his son Samuel E. Mason, Jr.; and his brothers, Edward Lewis Mason, Robert Joseph Mason and Melvin Wayne Mason.
He is survived by : his wife Alice Furry Mason of Valley Ridge, Covington; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Mason, Sylvia Mason and Maye Furry Vess (Tommy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the First Assembly of God Church, P.O. Box 132, 1610 Oak Hill Ave, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
