It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Marie Dodd (Clifton Forge, Virginia), born in Millboro, Virginia, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William B. Matheney and Mary Inez Matheny Matheney; her daughter Debra Dodd Kern; and her daughter-in-law Kathy Hayslett Dodd. She is survived by: her husband Charles L. "Charlie" Dodd of Eagle Rock; her children, Wanda Hubble of Eagle Rock and Charles "Billy" Dodd of Clifton Forge; and her granddaughter Heather Nicole Kern. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Iron Gate United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 190, Iron Gate, VA 24448.
