Terence Edwin Sutherland Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on June 13, 2025, at the age of 77, Terence Edwin Sutherland (Clifton Forge, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Terence shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Terence farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Stark Sutherland and Chloe Clevinger Sutherland; and his brother Sam Sutherland. He is survived by: his wife Carol Rader Sutherland of Millboro; his children, Kim Thompson Ford (Danny Pritt) of Hot Springs, Julie Sutherland Powers (Phil) of Abingdon and Travis Sutherland (Viviana) of Goose Creek, SC; his brother Dean Sutherland (Jan) of Massanutten; his brother-in-law William "Bill" Rader (Pam) of Troutville; and his grandchildren, Jensen Ford Ratliff (Hunter), Jenifer Ford (Cody Cubbage), Cheyenne Smith (Davey) and Bennett Reid Powers. He is also survived by two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
