It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas McClung (Clifton Forge, Virginia), born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on January 29, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alston "Red" McClung and Betty Everett McClung; and his brother Bryan Scott McClung. He is survived by: his wife Wilma L. Holt McClung of Clifton Forge; his children, Michelle McClung Jeffrey of Morgantown, WV, Richard Eugene McClung (Alecia) of Millboro, Dustin Scott McClung of Clifton Forge and Ashley Alan McClung (Caroline) of Eagle Rock; his brothers, Jim McClung of Missouri and Will McClung of Morgantown, WV; his grandchildren, Jonathan Johnson (Whitney Urbanek), Maddy Jeffrey, Lilly McClung, Ramsay McClung and Thomas McClung; his great grandchildren, Caiden Johnson and Brooklynn Simon; his aunt Vivian Mintreas of Moundsville, WV; his uncle Jesse Clayton McClung of Greer, SC; and his adoptive children, Jacob, Dorey Anderson, Nicki Calhoun, Renee Vaughn, Jason Wright, Susan, Chanda Ingram and Sarah Stone. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Burnside-Carpenter Post 4299 Veterans of Foreign Wars, P.O. Box 182, Clifton Forge, VA 24422, or a fruit tree of any variety can be donated to Wilma to be planted in memory of Thomas on the farm in West Virginia.
