William Hall Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Hall of Clifton Forge, Virginia, who passed away on March 27, 2026, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pembroke Pettit Hall and Mary Louise Hannah Hall; and his former wife Mamie Frances Barton Hall. He is survived by: his wife Freda Rochelle Unroe Hall of Clifton Forge; his daughter Carolyn Hall Tinsley (Rick) of Richmond; his sister Ann Hall Trible of Richmond; his niece Susan T. Pitts (Dave); his nephew Christopher Trible (Brook); his sister-in-law Linda B. Fisher (Bob); and his stepsons, Michael Unroe (Patty) of Troutville and Mark Unroe (Christine) of Clifton Forge. He is also survived by five step grandchildren; and a number of cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the C & O Historical Society, 312 E. Ridgeway Street, Clifton Forge, VA 24422 or to the Clifton Forge High School Alumni Association, P.O. Box 118, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
