With solemn reverence, we commemorate Evelyn Yates of Clintwood, Virginia, whose life came to an end on May 19, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Evelyn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Evelyn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Issac Yates and Hettie Bise Yates; and her brother Olin Yates (Peggy). She is survived by: her brother Guy Yates (Barbara) of Woodville, Texas; and her caregivers, Joyce Dotson, Patsy Salyers and Sandra Mullins. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel (348 Mc Clure St, Clintwood, VA 24228). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 6:00 PM and on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
