He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Pamela G. Bowling; his children, Alexandria Bowling (William Voss) and Justin Dowdy (Beth); his grandson Avery Dowdy; his sisters, Patricia Rogers and Lora Smith (Woody); his father-in-law Jerry Gunter "Big Red"; his sisters-in-law, Debbie (Ron), Lisa and Amy (Chris); his close friends, Chuck Watson, Ed of Dee, PJ, Champ and Kenny; and his friend Oscar Brooks. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews; his work family.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Clover Bottom Baptist Church (7042 Stage Coach Rd, Nathalie, VA 24577).
