She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Brummitt Luther and Daniel Boone Luther; her siblings, Ursley Luther of Atlantic Beach, NC, Andy Luther, Kenneth Luther, Carnel Luther, Eve Hiltabittle, Emma Dodge and Velmae Luther; and her daughter Carolyn Bond of Coeburn, VA.
She is survived by: her husband Fred Deel Sr.; her children, Lisa Odle and Fred Deel Jr. (Mona) of Coeburn, VA.; her grandchildren, Jessica Clark (Nathan (Bristol), Jason Deel (DiAnna (Dryden), Josh Bond (Ashley (St), Seth, Skyler Boles of Coeburn, VA and Kristil Adkins of Clintwood, VA; and her great grandchildren, Hannah Ratliff of Blountville, TN, Hadley, Hunter, Tanner Bond of St. Paul, VA, Braylyn, Baylor Boles of Coeburn, VA, Havan, Kimberlyn, Collin and Bryson Moore of Dryden, VA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home (310 6th St NW, Coeburn, VA 24230). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Homes - Coeburn Starts (310 6th St NW, Coeburn, VA 24230). A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Laurel Grove Cemetery (4812-4850 VA-74, Norton, VA 24273).
