He was predeceased by: his father James Robert Head, Sr.; his sister Laura Sowers (Billy Sowers); and his nephew Marlin Mabe. He is survived by: his mother Laura Hester Brim Head; his daughter Kayla Head; his sisters, Margaret Tilley (Chris) and Patricia Foley (Mark); and his nieces and nephews, Tammy Pomeroy, Melissa Conley, Billy Wayne Sowers and Jacob Foley. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A reception was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at 200 E John Redd Blvd, Collinsville, VA 24078. Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112).
