We announce the death of Meredith Jo Reffett of Collinsville, Virginia, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 54. Meredith will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard L. Reffett and Betty Jo Hendren Reffett; her son Chandler Reffett; her granddaughter Emberly Joy Reffett; and her brother Richard L. "Richie" Reffett.
She is survived by: her husband David; her children, Ali Hylton (Adam), Brianna Glenn and Justin Reffett (Casey); her sister Robin Richardson (Bill); and her grandchildren, Asher Hylton, Aurora Reffett, Audrey Hylton, Orion Reffett, Rowan Reffett, Aspyn Hylton, Atlas Reffett and Harper Williams. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gospel Road Baptist Church (4305 Oak Level Rd, Bassett, VA 24055). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
