He was predeceased by : his parents, Edsel Pauley and Erma Nell Pauley; and his brothers, Joel Pauley and Darrell Pauley. He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Z. Pauley; his sons, Sean and Travis Pauley (Joni); his stepdaughters, Candice Carter (Bill) and Jessi Johnson (Ryan Merritt); his siblings, Frank Pauley (Diana), Mike Pauley, Harold Bruce (Donna) and Pam Hall (Rusty); and his grandchildren, Bryean Pauley, Joel Pauley, Austen Merritt, Myra Merritt, Nora Merritt, Sonya Pauley and Kelsey McElroy.

“Received a message today from Carolyn informing my husband and I of Al’s passing. We had the honor of living next door to them in Oak Grove. Brand new to the world of camping we were sent an Angel named Al. I don’t know if we would have survived if it were not for Al and his knowledge of camping life. Having Al, Carolyn and their beloved Bo as neighbors will be one of our greatest blessings. We will meet again Al. Kris & Sherry Lacy”
