He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry E. Bruce and Laura A.; and his siblings, Larry Bruce, Wallace Bruce, John Bruce, Garland Bruce, Frances Mudd and Elizabeth Bruce.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sons, Wayne C. Bruce of Bennett, NC and Robert D. Bruce (Cindy) of LaPlata, MD; his grandchildren, Christopher Bruce (Jessica), Alison Ayers (Zachary) and Erika Bruce-Schwab (Joe); and his sister-in-law Gladys Bruce of Pomfret, MD.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Brinsfield Funeral Home (22955 Hollywood Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery (3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD 20722).
