He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Elmer Norris Sr. and Mary Ora Hill Norris; his wife Mary; his children, Bobbi Baker (Dan) and Ryan Norris; his grandchildren, Will Baker, Harrison Baker and Kendall Norris; and his siblings, Kathy Morrissette (Allen), David Norris (Cathy), Angie Thompson, Rosemary Longfield (Mel) and King.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in his name to the Wounded Warriors Project.
