We are sad to announce that, on June 13, 2023, at the age of 88, Carlyle Philip Comer of Colonial Heights, Virginia, born in Vinton, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Comer and Christine Sublette Comer; his wife Barbara Altice Comer; his former wife Ingrid Westerholm Comer; his children, Debra McDaniel and Philip Comer; and his siblings, William Comer and Virginia Dudley.

He is survived by: his sister Norma Wise; his son Mark Comer; his children-in-law, Philip McDaniel and Pamela Comer; and his stepdaughter Lisa Shumate (Sheri Smith). He is also survived by five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
