Joanne Morea Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 21, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Joanne Morea of Colonial Heights, Virginia.
Joanne was born October 29, 1930 and raised in Vintondale, Pa and was one of twenty one children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Sam Morea, a daughter Judy Pomaroy, and a grandson Robert Martin. Leaving to cherish her memory are her daughter Debi Rhodes (Robert) of Chester, Va, and her son Saverio Morea Jr (Tina) of Colonial Heights, Va. her grandchildren Nicole Millis, Shannon Martin, Tiffany Morea and Saverio Morea III, also great grandchildren Vinnie Martin, Alyssa Martin, Skyler Martin, Dominic Millis and Sawyer Morea. Joanne was a military wife and lived in several places including New York, New Jersey, Germany, France, Florida, Maine and retiring in Hopewell, Va. and later moving to Colonial Heights, Va.
She was affectionately know to many as "Mom" and "Grandma" to her children and grandchildren's friends, of which she always had an open door policy and a seat at the table for all of them.
