It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Phillips George of Colonial Heights, Virginia, who passed away on July 3, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Walter George Jr.; her parents, Joseph Benjamin Phillips and Ruth Jackson Phillips; and her sister Jacqueline Phillips Allen. She is survived by: her sons, David Walter George and Mark Joseph George of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her grandson Michael David George (Angel Harper George); her great grandchildren, Charlotte Avalon and Cailey Joyce George of Colonial Heights, Virginia; and her grandsons, Edward Walter George and David Walter George Jr. of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
She was a member of the Methodist Wesley Foundation and Victory Chorus.
