She was predeceased by : her parents, Forrest Benjamin and Alice Vaughan Wommack; her husband Donald P. Baird; and her siblings, Ernestine Wommack Rudy and Forrest Sinclair Wommack.

She is survived by : her children, Donald Martin Baird (Karla), Anne Baird Cizek (Billy), Forrest Clayton Baird (Clare) and Susan Baird Reinhardt (Robin); her grandchildren, Aaron (Dani), Jennifer (Dave), Daniel (Maria), Will (Emily), Jeffrey (Kristin), Leah (Josh), Edmund, Oliver and Jackson; and her great grandchildren, Cameron, Mackenzie, Madelyn, Charlie, Ella, Sophia, Nolan, Asher, Graham, Truett, Ethan, Tristan, Aiden, River and Cassidy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggy's name to Second Presbyterian Church, 419 W. Washington Street, Petersburg, Virginia 23803.
