With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rosa Edith Schumaker (Colonial Heights, Virginia), born in Covington, Virginia, who passed away on January 11, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dolphus Morris and Gussie Wilson Wright; and her husband Jimmy Schumaker. She is survived by: her children, Jimmy H. Schumaker, Jr. (Cathy) of Sutherland, VA and Tracy Thacker (Ian) of Amelia Courthouse, VA. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amelia County, Virginia Animal Shelter, 16565 Five Forks Road Amelia Courthouse, Virginia 23002.
